Cafe & Desserts
An editorial cafe concept built to feel like a destination — warm, intentional, and impossible to scroll past.
The brief was to create a cafe concept that could work for any Belizean food and beverage business looking to establish credibility online. The goal: communicate warmth, quality, and personality — without relying on a known brand name. The site had to look like a place people actually want to visit.
A cafe concept that felt real.
Most cafe sites look like templates. The goal here was to build something editorial — a concept that felt lived-in, warm, and specific to the Belize City food scene, even without an established brand behind it.
Editorial warmth through restraint.
A cream and charcoal palette with Cormorant Garamond headings and gold accent typography. Count-up stats, a scrolling Google Reviews ticker, and a layered offerings grid — each section adds depth without clutter.
A concept ready to go live.
The demo is fully production-ready on Squarespace 7.1. Any cafe or dessert business in Belize could plug in their brand, photos, and menu and launch the same day — with a site that immediately communicates quality.
The complete concept.
What went into every section.
Every design decision was made to serve one goal: make a visitor feel the atmosphere before they ever walk through the door. Here's what went into each section of the page.
